The inspiration

When I watch my students write their research papers, achieving 5 pages, double-spaced, seemed to be the most daunting task on the planet. Their anguish in trying to figure out "What did the author really mean?" is an essential part of the growing pains of knowledge. So as I sat down to complete my literature review on "What skills do leaders need and what kind of culture is necessary for a principal to be an effective leader in preparing students for the 21st century?" one thing became very apparent. My 7 page, single space paper did not do it justice. Hence, here we are. A blog that will utilize models, examples, everyday practices, and just about everything else in an attempt to answer that question way deeper than my paper ever could. Let the run begin. Presently dissecting my first part for you tonight.
